CBC Young Business Person Awards 2025

On 7 July 2025 the Chester Business Club held its 39th Annual Banquet and this year was extra special, as we launched the inaugural CBC Young Person Business Awards.

This new initiative was driven by CBC Executive Councillor, Nick Owens of Magnify PR, who also sponsored the Awards alongside Aqueous Digital  Fly High Media™ and DEESURVEYS Limited

Nick said, “It’s clear to me that a huge opportunity existed to forge greater connections with the city’s young people.  All too often the young are written off, portrayed as feckless, lazy and unambitious. The reality is the total opposite. Our young people have great ideas, are aspirational and, often, demonstrate natural entrepreneurship.  The CBC Young Business Person Awards celebrated all of that – and more. Naming the winners was both an honour, and a challenge. We were so blown away by the quality of entries and a compelling case could have been made for any of the shortlisted candidates to walk away with gongs.”

It was certainly a difficult choice to make from a strong field.

The winners of the Chester Business Club Awards Young Business Person Awards 2025 were:

The Vision Awards (11-18)

Tayla Aspden, 17, Queen’s Park High School
Alex Edge and Freddie Leslie, 13, The King’s School.

CBC Young Entrepreneur Of The Year:

Keren Isaiah ✞ with Kairos Unlimited.

The CBC Executive Council says a huge well done to Fernando Rutter AIRPM CIHM, Jack Green and Solomon Meredith who were nominees for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year; and to Matthew McGoldrick, Faith Chesters and Holly Davies who all made the shortlist for the Vision Award.

Nick Owens added, “All of the nominees are absolutely amazing, and Chester is very fortunate to have these young business people.”

Also at the CBC Banquet the Club members elected Gavin Floyd to be our new Chairman and Roy Shelton as President. The full list of the Chester Business Club Executive Council is here: About Us – Chester Business Club.
