Chester FC become latest Corporate Member of Chester Business Club

Chester FC, our City’s fan-owned football club with community at the heart of everything they do, has become the latest to join the swelling number of members of Chester Business Club (CBC). The move drives increased collaboration between both organisations and underpins their goal of adding value to the local community.

In addition to Chester FC becoming a Corporate Member of CBC, Chester Business Club will also be the Match Day Sponsor of the Chester FC v Farsley Celtic match on 15th April 2023.

On a recent visit to the home of Chester FC at the Deva Stadium on Bumpers Lane, Roy Shelton (Chair of CBC), Jan Chillery (Vice Chair of CBC), and Georgina Slawinski (General Manager at Chester FC) (ADD IN PIC) laid out their plans for the exciting new relationship, including;

 Additional hospitality opportunities for CBC members at Chester FC
 Attendance of Chester FC at CBC events to increase awareness and support for the football club generally, as well as its match days and other campaigns
 How a wider audience can become involved at a volunteer level to aid the Chester FC’s growth.

CBC Chair Roy Shelton said, “CBC are delighted to welcome Chester FC as our latest Corporate Member and we are very excited about the ways in which our two organisations can collaborate and reach more people in our community. Supporting our local businesses, charities and sports clubs’ growth and sustainability is at the heart of why CBC exists. The benefits of watching and participating in sports-based activities has so many mental health and well-being benefits and we are proud to be sponsoring and supporting Chester FC.”

Georgina Slawinski said; “Chester Business Club has over 200 leading businessmen and women as members, many with prestigious roles and well-known businesses. Being a corporate member will allow us to expand our network to achieve further business growth. We look forward to working closely with Chester Business Club and its members to continue embracing the local footballing community and reaching out to the wider community. I would like to thank all at Chester Business Club for their support, and we look forward to welcoming them as our match sponsor on 15th April for the Farsley Celtic match.”

Despite having lived in Chester for more than 20 years, Jan Chillery admitted she’d never been to the Deva Stadium before and was excited to be given the grand tour, especially the walk into the Deva Stadium from the team preparation areas. Roy and Jan were shown the Legends Lounge where the CBC members will be able to enjoy hospitality on Saturday 15 April. “I’m really looking forward to watching my first Chester FC match,” said Jan, “and I’m sure it’ll be a great social event for CBC members. Tickets will be available from the CBC website shortly.”

Another sponsor of Chester FC and long-standing member of Chester Business Club, Will Lamb of Tall Group was enthusiastic about the collaboration between the two organisations. “It’s good to see the CBC supporting Chester through its fan-owned football club in addition to the CBC’s charitable activities and business events. Both are vibrant clubs that have a far reach and they make a big difference to the Chester community.”
