Chester Business Club joined forces with the Chester’s historic Albion Inn to raise funds in support of the War Memorials Trust (WMT).
For many years The Albion has been staging events to honour the memory of the fallen heroes of the 1914-18 World War.
The ‘Christmas in The Trenches’ evenings have been a regular and popular feature at The Albion, and over a many years Chester Business Club members have taken part in the ‘Trenches’ events which feature poignant, amusing and rousing songs, music & readings from the Great War.
Albion landlord Mike Mercer says, ‘The War Memorials Trust is our “house” charity and we have been very pleased to raise funds for the Trust in support of their crucial work to protect and restore the all-important memorials throughout the country.
‘Chester Business Club is one of the many loyal organisations and individuals who continue to support The Albion and, moreover, our fundraising endeavours for the WMT.’
