Members of Chester Business Club attended an enjoyable gin-tasting and informal networking evening at the offices of Cazenove Capital on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
Cazenove, who have had an office in Chester for over 20 years and been in residence for over 2 years at Lower Bridge Street, kindly hosted and organised the event, with gin cocktails supplied and showcased by Corks Out, local wine experts and caterers.
Cazenove are a part of the global Schroders Group and a long-established wealth manager, with a focus on preserving and growing their clients’ wealth.
Skilled in investment management, wealth planning and banking services, they also offer discretionary fund management to external advisers and their clients and are a leading charity fund manager in the UK.
On arrival, guests were greeted by the Cazenove team and offered a gin cocktail prepared by Corks Out.
There were several unusual gins available for sampling, with the Corks Out specialists sharing their knowledge about the ingredients and best mixers or condiments for each.
The multiple award-winning Corks Out, was founded in 2003 and have a store and boutique wine bar on Chester’s historic Watergate Street.
Bob Ellis, Executive Council Member at Chester Business Club, welcomed the guests, advised of the forthcoming Club events and thanked Cazenove for their hospitality.
Tim Kenney of Kenney Moore Commercial Property Consultants delivered an update on the proposed Northgate Development.
Lastly, Mark Nicklin, Portfolio Manager at Cazenove and Chester Business Club Member, introduced their team and Director, Simon Ashworth and gave the guests a brief overview of Cazenove’s wealth management offering.
Following the gin-tasting and networking, Members were each given a ‘goody-bag’ by Cazenove containing a beautiful glass thermos, notebook, pen and a mini bottle of Pinckneys Gin.
