In October 2024 Chester Business Club held its highly-regarded annual Charity Ball at Chester Racecourse, this year in aid of two local charities, SHARE and Ready Generations.
On 29 October 2024, Club chair Jan Chillery and Charity Ball committee co-chair Rosalind Ellis were proud to present £8,000 to these two excellent charities at the Boodles’ beautiful store in Chester.
The Club thanks Andrew Moore and the Boodles team for hosting this sparkling evening.
Rosalind Ellis said, “Both charities were delighted to receive this funding. We know SHARE and Ready Generations will use this funding to amazing effect in our local community. I’m already excited for next year’s CBC Charity Ball in support of more Chester-based charities!”
Jan Chillery added, “The Club has a hard working Executive Council who are keen to foster a thriving and exciting business community in Chester. We organise diverse and varied events. I’m particularly looking forward to our Members Supper on 19 November 2024 about intergenerational boardroom diversity! We’ll have discussion and interaction facilitated by workplace culture coach, Alison Blackler of 2-Minds. I encourage members to bring a guest from a different generation. Different age groups bring different perspectives to decision-making and we don’t always communicate well between generations. This Members Supper will also be a great opportunity for our next generation to experience business social environment.”
