A Chester-based Covid testing provider is offering free lateral flow tests to key workers and hospitality businesses amid a chronic national shortage of home kits.
Michael Moran, CEO of Blindspot Global on Northgate Avenue, told Cheshire Live he was inundated with calls over the weekend from residents about there being no available lateral flow tests at pharmacies and clinics.
He said one particular conversation with a resident who was unable to visit his 80-year-old mother in her Covid -affected care home because he couldn’t get his hands on a test was “the final straw”.
