Chester Business Club Announces Partnership with Magnify PR and Chester Racecourse for Annual Charity Walk.

This year’s event will be officially launched by the High Sheriff of Chester, Clare Hayward, who expressed her pride in supporting the walk.

Chester Business Club is thrilled to announce that Magnify PR and Chester Racecourse will be partnering to support our annual charity walk, a cornerstone event that significantly bolsters local causes. Scheduled for September 15th, the walk will commence from the iconic Chester Racecourse and is expected to attract hundreds of participants, eager to contribute to the community.

Nick Owens, founder of Magnify PR and a valued member of Chester Business Club’s Executive Committee, shared his enthusiasm: “We’re delighted to co-sponsor this event with Chester Racecourse, which has graciously agreed to host the walk once again. What I love most about this event is how it unites people from across the city and beyond, all coming together to raise funds for some truly remarkable organisations. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces—and their dogs—on the day!”

Kate Dawson, Commercial Director at Chester Racecourse, echoed this sentiment: “The Chester Business Club’s annual charity walk is a fantastic community initiative that we are always proud to support. It’s heartwarming to see so many local businesses and individuals join forces to raise awareness and funds for incredible charities. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the racecourse for what promises to be a rewarding day.”

This year’s event will be officially launched by the High Sheriff of Chester, Clare Hayward, who expressed her pride in supporting the walk: “I am delighted to be a part of Chester Business Club’s charity walk. The ongoing commitment of our local business community to support local causes is truly inspiring. This event beautifully combines community spirit, charity, and connection, all while raising much-needed funds for good causes. I can’t wait to see everyone at Chester Racecourse.”

Chair of the Charity Walk, Peter Broxton, highlighted the inclusive, family-friendly nature of the event: “For those new to the walk, it’s important to note that this is far from a competitive race. It’s a leisurely Sunday morning stroll, covering just over six miles. Along the way, participants can enjoy our legendary refreshment stops, featuring Mars Bars, orange juice, bacon butties, or a vegetarian option with coffee. We’ll wrap up with a refreshing gin and tonic or soft drink.”

In addition to the walk, there will be face-painters, a competition for the best and worst-behaved dog, and other fun activities. Registration opens at 10:15 am, with the walk kicking off at 11:00 am.
