Chester Business Club Christmas Reception at Bishop’s House

Chester Business Club thanks the Right Reverend the Bishop of Chester, Mark Tanner, and Lindsay Tanner, for welcoming Club Members and Guests into their home for our annual Christmas Reception on 11 December 2024.

This lovely evening in the historic Bishop’s House is made even more special by a private performance from choristers from Chester Cathedral.

Special Guests included the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Razia Daniels, and Lord Mayor’s Consort, Stephen Daniels.

Lauren Evans, as Hon. Secretary of the Club and the Chair of its Charity Committee, presented a donation to the Biking Bishop Biking Mission Fund. This fund supports the purchase of nimble motorbikes for nurses, midwives and other essential professionals in the Congo, making a massive difference to the survival of mothers, babies and others in remote areas where roads are poor.

Jan Chillery, as Chair of Chester Business Club, presented a donation to the Cathedral Choristers’ Support Fund.

The donations were received by Bishop Mark Tanner and Philip Rushforth, Cathedral Organist and Master of the Choristers.

We are publishing a few photographs now; watch this space in the next few days for more photographs of this special event for Club Members and Guests.
