We are delighted to be hosting our first Chester Business Club Members’ Conference on Monday 23 September 2024 at The Garret Theatre, Storyhouse.
Cost: Free. Conference tickets are free to Club members and your guests
Who: Club Members plus up to 2 guests (entirely up to you who you bring)
Time: Doors open 5pm, presentations between 6pm and 7pm, doors close 8pm
Where: Garret Theatre, Storyhouse, Chester CH1 2AR
Dress: Work attire
This is an opportunity to mix with other Club members and guests in a relaxed, informal setting. You can bring business contacts, friends or family members, it’s up to you. We would be delighted to see “next generation businesspeople” at this event (6th formers upwards) as the Club’s Executive Council are keen to provide opportunities for young people to learn business networking skills.
There are excellent Visual facilities at the Garret Theatre. The presentations will start at 6pm sharp, for one hour including:
Welcome by Jan Chillery, Club Chair, with a report on the Club’s activities and objectives.
Special audio-visual report on the Rooftop Social Club development at Pepper Street, by Ian Gordon of iKO Projects. This exciting initiative on the roof of Pepper Street car park will provide family-friendly games (such as cornhole, lane shuffle and pétanque), fitness and wellbeing activities, as well as food and drink offerings in cabana-styled covered seating areas. It is scheduled to open in October 2024 and CBC members will see photographs of the on-going development and artist’s impressions of the development. Q&A.
A report by Club member David Muir of CodeNation on how you can upskill your workforce and the next generation. Digital Literacy is essential for many jobs, yet Microsoft / eMail / Automation / Online Security / AI, etc, are topics often not adequately covered by schools. The CBC has sponsored some free places over several CodeNation courses, details to be available on the day.
