A great opportunity to network with Club colleagues and hear about what’s going on in Chester and Cheshire. An ideal event for NextGen guests (secondary school upwards) to experience business interactions and improve communication skills.
Our speakers include Steve Purdham, chair of Cheshire & Warrington Business Advisory Board and successful entrepreneur. Steve was part of the founding team of SurfControl Plc, a trailblazing cybersecurity firm which was one of the UK’s early tech unicorns, a FTSE250 business before being successfully sold for $400 million in 2007. Alongside legendary musician Peter Gabriel, Steve then co-invested and led the innovative music streaming service WE7, which reached over 3m UK users in its first 9 months before selling the company to Tesco in 2012. He also serves as Chair of Westfield Health, a century-old insurance mutual which seeks to make a difference to peoples’ lives and address inequalities in health. Recognised with numerous awards, including IOD Cheshire Director of the Year, IOD NW Director of the Year and CEO of the Year, Steve will speak at the Chester Business Club Members Conference about devolution of Cheshire & Warrington and the opportunities it brings for us.
