The Chair, Vice Chair and various Members of Chester Business Club will join VIP guests at Cheshire Military Museum on Wednesday 6 November 2024 for a preview of a special “Purple Poppies” exhibition.
The Purple Poppy is a symbol of remembrance for animals that have served in war and the suffering they endured. It is worn to honour the service and sacrifices of animals, such as horses, dogs, and pigeons, that have been drafted into war. It also serves as a reminder that animals have no choice in participating in war.
The preview will be attended by Mayors and MPs from Cheshire and Wirral, as well as military personnel.
