Chester Business Club is hosting it’s third Virtual Club Meeting, with guest speaker, Dr Susan Gilby (Chief Executive, Countess of Chester Hospital Trust).

Guest Speaker, Dr Susan Gilby, became Chief Executive of the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust in April 2019 -having previously been the hospital’s Medical Director – and following the resignation of the former chief executive in mid-2018 in the midst of an ongoing police investigation into the deaths of eight babies at its neonatal unit.
Dr Gilby has long-standing professional and very personal links with the Countess as not only did she train there as a registrar in anaesthetics in 2003 but her youngest son was born in the maternity wing.
In April, shortly after the start of the national lockdown, Dr Gilby herself tested positive for coronavirus, continuing to work from home during the 14-day self isolation.
